Button Head Cap Screw Solution (for more set screw angle)
With some more unique setups, you may find a need to adjust the angle set screws further than you would with a more typical setup.
We have determined that 3 full turns of the angle set screw (about 20 degrees angle) is the maximum that anyone should try to adjust their pegs with the installed set screws.
If you need to go further, you can replace the installed set screws with the button head cap screws we've provided. The #10-32 x 1/2" Stainless Steel Button Head Cap Screws use a 1/8" hex key. With the button head cap screws installed, the minimum adjusted angle starts at 20 degrees, and you can adjust it out 3 full turns. This will take them to a maximum of about a 30 degrees of angle.
If the standard set screw is used to adjust the angle more than 20 degrees (3 full turns from flat), there is a danger of the pin hitting the side of the set screw rather than the end. This will, in time with foot pressure, bend the pin.
The solution of replacing the set screw for angles of more than 20 and up to 30 degrees allows the pin to rest on the rounded head of the button head cap screw at a normal angle, and the possibility of bending the pin is eliminated (with standard foot pressure).
